Andrew and I met in undergrad at the University of Waterloo at just 19 years old. Within a few days I knew I would fall in love with him, and within months I knew I would marry him.

I actually chose Hayley Paige as my dress designer before I'd even chosen the exact dress; all her collections evoke the perfect balance between classy and fun, and I knew that wearing one of her designs would make me feel elegant and trendy at the same time. After seeing the Emeryn dress online, I went directly to one of her trunk shows in Toronto. It was the first dress I tried on and I knew it was the one.

The wedding was designed to emulate the same concept as the Emeryn. The venue we chose was in the downtown core of the city, with a beautiful rooftop that acted as the ceremony space. I chose silver, pink and white as the wedding colours, putting the bridesmaids each in a dress that suited them and their own unique beauty (just like I felt the Emeryn did for me). The venue also provided the perfect backdrops to take slightly off-beat wedding pictures, starting our wedding day off with a very cool vibe. That vibe carried on throughout the day and night, and will leave us with memories that we will never forget.
